Town Hall #1: Office of Racial Equity | Equitable Green Investments

In Summer 2020, APEN, The Greenlining Institute, SCOPE and California ReLeaf developed recommendations for a “Just COVID-19 Response and Recovery to Support Resilient Communities” that was submitted to Governor Newsom’s Task Force on Business and Jobs Recovery. After submitting the letter, the four organizations hosted a 3-part Town Hall Series to discuss key strategies included in the letter that aim to advance systemic transformation and address the needs of California’s priority communities as the state begins to recover from COVID-19 and continues to address the climate crisis.

This first town hall focused on recommendations for equitable green investments and a discussion on establishing a statewide Office of Racial Equity in California.
