Statement from Debra Gore-Mann, President and CEO of The Greenlining Institute:

Yesterday, a majority of eligible Greenlining staff voted to be represented by Greenliners United for the purposes of collective bargaining.

This is a significant milestone in our collective commitment to foster a collaborative and positive work environment and a thriving Greenlining. As leadership at The Greenlining Institute, we stand firm in our respect for the right to unionize and the value of worker power. We remain committed to maintaining professional and respectful negotiations.

Unionization is completely aligned with Greenlining’s values: we are pro-union, anti-racist, and mission driven. We are confident that this process will contribute to building a future where communities of color can build wealth, live in healthy places filled with economic opportunity, and are ready to meet the challenges posed by climate change.
