Comment Letter: FY 2025-26 Charge Ahead California Funding Plan
The Charge Ahead California Campaign submitted detailed comments to the California Air Resources Board on the draft FY 2025–26 Funding Plan workshops for Clean Transportation Incentives, urging CARB to prioritize equity, transparency, and affordability amid significant budget constraints and federal attacks on California’s clean vehicle authority. The comments call for clear direction on funding priorities, stronger access to incentives for low-income households, small fleets, and disadvantaged communities, and improved public reporting across programs. Charge Ahead California also emphasized the importance of used zero-emission vehicle incentives, meaningful data transparency, and community-centered storytelling to ensure limited public dollars deliver maximum air quality, climate, and public health benefits. The Charge Ahead California Campaign is comprised of The Greenlining Institute, Coalition for Clean Air, Communities for a Better Environment, Environment California, and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
