The Greenlining Institute is seeking an Events Assistant to support with logistics and projects related to upcoming events. This position will support the Events team in bringing together planning and execution of Greenlining’s annual Economic Summit, Greenlining’s Discussion Series, and the Academy Graduation.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, with an enthusiasm for high-adrenaline, fast-paced work with an events crew.

The applicant will need to be available for an average of 15 – 20 hours/week (exact times negotiable). Weekly hours may vary according to proximity to events. The applicant must be available 35+ hours during the week of the Economic Summit (May 21 – May 25), and for a full-day commitment on May 23 and May 24.


  • Preparing and assembling materials for Economic Summit, Academy Graduation, and Discussion Series
  • Learning the event registration system and assisting with trainings for staff and volunteers
  • Overseeing printing and setup of nametags
  • Work with a core team of planners to help oversee the day-of execution of the events
  • Various tasks as needed


  • Ability to prioritize tasks, strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in google apps.
  • A positive attitude and strong team-oriented work ethic.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Impeccable follow-through and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to run with projects independently and no reservations around asking questions when needed.
  • Past event experience preferred, but not required.


$15/hour (negotiable for highly experienced candidates)
