4/29 Briefing Kicks Off “Good Economy Day of Action” Hosted by Black, Latino & Asian/Pacific Legislative Caucuses & Greenlining Institute
SACRAMENTO – Black, Latino and Asian American business leaders will join with legislators and advocates Wednesday morning for a legislative briefing on the impact of California climate change laws on their businesses and what needs to be done to maximize economic opportunities in the growing clean energy economy. Presenters will discuss existing climate laws AB 32 and SB 535, as well as the pending EmPower California Act, SB 865.
The briefing kicks off a full day of activities highlighting the importance of the clean energy economy to California’s ethnic businesses and communities of color. In the afternoon, attendees will hold individual meetings with legislators and staff, followed by a meeting at the governor’s office.
