UpLiftCA: Our Air, Our Jobs, Our Neighborhoods
Something amazing is happening in California: We’re charging polluters for the damage they cause and using that money to clean the air, save families money, and bring investments and jobs to communities that need them. But too few Californians know this is happening, or the good it’s doing for our neighborhoods. UpLiftCAwill change that.
UpLiftCA is a comprehensive campaign we launched to educate our communities about California’s climate and clean energy laws and how the fight against global warming helps consumers, generates jobs, and helps build healthy, thriving neighborhoods.

Greenlining Protests OneWest/CIT Bank Merger in Pasadena, CA
Last week, members of Greenlining’s team traveled to Pasadena to protest the proposed bank merger between OneWest and CIT. Ina recent Huffington Post article, Chief Operating Officer Preeti Vissa argued that the merger would create another “too big to fail” bank for the nation’s top one percent.
At the protest, we chanted alongside organizations such as the California Reinvestment Coalition, saying “OneWest Bank, you can’t hide, we can see your greedy side.”
Read our letter outlining the reasons why we oppose this merger.
