Covered California Open Enrollment Begins on Saturday!
Starting this Saturday, Covered California, California’s
Health Policy Fellow Anthony Galace has written a blog post outlining what Californians can expect for this second enrollment period. This year, there will be more resources to help limited-English procifient individuals enroll through an increase in bilingual staff members at service centers where these communities live. In addition, those who sign up will have a chance to reassess their coverage preferences, especially when new plans become available in the coming months.
The Greenlining Institute has been a long-time advocate for accessible and affordable health care. Our Health Equity team has worked extensively for the past few years to ensure that implementation of the Affordable Care Act reaches the people who need it the most — communities of color and low-income communities.
Building on the success of last year’s launch, we’re looking forward to seeing even more Californians have access to affordable health care. If you want to know more about Covered California and the Affordable Care Act, you can read a summary of the most important information, here.
