Our Democracy

Claiming Our Democracy

Mission

The Greenlining Institute’s Claiming Our Democracy program is a proactive effort to build a multi-ethnic, pro-democracy movement for political reforms that will institute standards of equality, accountability, and justice in the democratic process. The ultimate goal is greater civic participation by the nation’s growing communities of color.

Initiatives

Redistricting: Greenlining, through our new initiative “Line Up California!” is working to ensure that the Citizens Redistricting Commission reflects the diversity found throughout our state.
